God Wants to Use His Child … If God uses me to write or to inform His world, I am not the one being glorified or uplifted, I am not what is important or needed. The important thing is what I am told to say, not that I have been chosen to be His messenger. The revelation is more important than the revealer. Just because God chooses to speak through His creation does not minimize or diminish what is being revealed. God can use whosoever He chooses to use and He will not allow His decision to do so to [Read More…]
Problems before Solutions …GLH One would think that problems come before solutions; but, after a moment’s reflection, that may not be the case. When we think about life, from the very beginning we are sure to think about our problems. “Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7). Life in and of itself is never simple and easy; and, we as mortal beings do not make things any easier. Coming up with solutions to our problems, many times, only seems to leave us more perplexed and dumbfounded; we create more problems than we solve. The [Read More…]
The significance or importance of the truth. Reality: When the truth of God and His Word are diminished, we die. Every truth that is honest and pure was established before the creation of man. The truth did not evolve; like man, it is the thought and action of its Creator, almighty God. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). Every truth has originated from the same entity or source, GOD! God is the One that gives the truth its authority and purpose. If we choose to live abundant lives, we must be obedient and faithful. “The [Read More…]
Past Facebook post … While they may seem to be the same; and, they achieve the same purpose or end, there is a difference between what God “can’t” bless and what God “won’t” bless. There are things in this world that pertain to this world that are not of His liking or choosing. The evil in this world is in direct defiance to God and all He has planned for His children. These are things that He cannot bless because He is forever righteous and holy and He cannot sin or be a part of it. Sin is limited or [Read More…]
Lesson to be learned… In every occurrence of life there is a lesson to be learned; a message to which you can relate. The weather outside is cold and dry. As I slide across the seat of my car, my body generates stationary ions or static electricity. When I reach for the door to close it or to help stabilize me while getting out, I get an enormous shock. I have learned through experience, that if I grasp the door before I slide; then, I will not have to experience the shock which is annoying if not undesirable and painful. [Read More…]
Lauren Kitchen Stewart and AFR … I would like to thank AFR and Lauren Kitchens Steward for their faithful service unto God; and, for providing me, and other authors, a place to share our work with the public at large. My book “Choosing the Abundant Life” can be purchased at Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC and at all the top bookstores [Read More…]
If I Die, then I Die … In what do I have to worry or fear? I place my life and my security in the eternal hands of an ever-loving Savior; if I die, then I die. I know that a brighter home, a brighter hope awaits me. He has a much better plan for me. A plan which will take me to places I have never seen and to joys that I have never experienced or known. Having Christ as my Savior, my future is brighter; it is more secure than my past. My only concern is my ability [Read More…]
Passion and the Choice to Be Passionate: by GLH Passion, the extreme emotion to experience or to feel or to act with enthusiasm or excitement. It can be directed to achieve or indulge in those things that are good as well as those things that are bad or evil. It is a fine line that will catch us either doing those things that are dependable and holy or rebellious and sinful. Its intent is to cause us to be found above the norm, and in its forcefulness it will bring about true fervor and zeal. In and of itself, it [Read More…]
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. MATTHEW 6:24.
