Jesus is Coming SOON!!!

Times have become unpredictable and uncertain. What we once thought of as normal and certain has disappeared; and, we live in a moment of discord and rivalry. How do we plan for a future, that in most cases seems not to be there; or, how do we anticipate what is good and desirable? From the very beginning, we have been warned of the “end times”, but, living in the flesh and for the moment, it is hard to rationalize such a time.

As we visualize our world today, we see things that should never be, or at least, things that we wish would not be happening. God’s Word, the Holy Bible, which many have refused to hear, tells us that times will become difficult; and, in so many ways, frightening and unmanageable. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Living in such a time must seem grievous and alarming; but, when God gave us a warning, He also gave us a way to escape its evil and destruction. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). Certainly, this is not a time that we should despair but look unto God as our future hope and salvation. He has not forgotten us but has prepared for us a better way, a better day.

Take time out of your day to think about Him; and, when you do, make sure that your heart is open and thankful. He is there for you. Won’t you respond to His compassion and love by asking Him to forgive your sins and become your eternal friend and Savior. The choice is yours, why not choose Him today. If you do, you will not only be able to endure the trials of each day, but you will be ready when He comes to get you in the clouds. That day is coming; why not make it a day of triumph?
