Christian Music With A Message...

Lesson to be learned …

Lesson to be learned…

blankPLUSIn every occurrence of life there is a lesson to be learned; a message to which you can relate.

The weather outside is cold and dry. As I slide across the seat of my car, my body generates stationary ions or static electricity. When I reach for the door to close it or to help stabilize me while getting out, I get an enormous shock. I have learned through experience, that if I grasp the door before I slide; then, I will not have to experience the shock which is annoying if not undesirable and painful.

The lesson or comparison learned. As a nominal Christian, when I turn loose of God and His abundant will for my life and live my life according to my own dictates and will, what we consider the slide, I am sure, as in my example above, going to one day get and “enormous shock”. A shock, not like I would experience with static or electricity; but, in the fact that things will not be as desirable and rewarding as they could or should have been. In applying the lesson learned above, if I constantly hold on to Jesus and His eternal promise and power, not only to redeem me but to shelter and secure me, then I will not have to experience the unexpected difficulties and hardships this world has planned for me. The “reality” or “shock” that I will have to suffer for my inappropriate actions or sins will not bother or affect me while I remain under His authority and in His will for my life. Holding on to Jesus will provide me with my many necessities, while keeping me from experiencing those things that are empty and unfavorable. Would you not consider this a recompense or reward well worth the price? A life without the continual uplifting of Christ; can, in no way, ever match up to what we find in the abiding truth of a compassionate, all-loving God. Everything that we need we find in Him. Why do we find it so difficult to turn everything over too Him and to rely upon His inexhaustible mercy and grace?
