While they may seem to be the same; and, they achieve the same purpose or end, there is a difference between what God “can’t” bless and what God “won’t” bless. There are things in this world that pertain to this world that are not of His liking or choosing. The evil in this world is in direct defiance to God and all He has planned for His children. These are things that He cannot bless because He is forever righteous and holy and He cannot sin or be a part of it. Sin is limited or destroyed by God’s refusal to associate with or to become a part of its evil destruction and intent.
God is and will always be the supreme glory or beauty of His children. It is His endless desire, to not only provide the physical needs of His child, but to be the spiritual leader and guide as well. Like in any meaningful relationship, there must be a closeness that binds true companions in a bond of mutual love and respect. God’s intent is to be all that He can be or to create and inhabit a relationship that is spotless and forever enduring; this is only possible when we as His children are obedient and faithful. God wants to give us the treasures of His glorious Heaven but He cannot bless a child that is disobedient and rebellious. Unlike those things that He will not allow or bless because they are sinful, He can not bless them because they go against His holy purpose and will. If we are to obtain the countless blessings of God, we must be in that place where He can bless.
