The Significance or importance of the TRUTH …

sunsetFSThe significance or importance of the truth.

Reality: When the truth of God and His Word are diminished, we die.

Every truth that is honest and pure was established before the creation of man. The truth did not evolve; like man, it is the thought and action of its Creator, almighty God. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17).

Every truth has originated from the same entity or source, GOD! God is the One that gives the truth its authority and purpose. If we choose to live abundant lives, we must be obedient and faithful.  “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Every truth will forever remain steadfast and sure; there is NO way to escape or compromise the truth. When we refuse to accept what we know as the truth, we have instead chosen to accept the consequences or retribution for our disobedience and denial. The truth sets the parameters, it is our responsibility or decision to choose if we will listen and obey. “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.  They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants” (Psalms 119:89-91).

Every truth has the same motive and purpose: to save and secure all those who believe and accept its message and intent. Living by the truth of God’s Word will insure you a place in God’s eternal kingdom. Living by the truth of God’s Word will guarantee you a life that is abundant and free. The truth does not stand on its own; it comes or is issued with a promise. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Living the truth will gain you God’s acceptance and respect. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Revelation 3:20-21).

When we choose to make God’s Word, the truth, our number one priority, we are sure to experience God’s many blessings. Every action we take and every thought that we express will lead us to a brighter Home with Him; or, it will take us to that place we do not want to go.  “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). As Jesus proclaimed, abiding in the truth of His Holy Word will set us free from the bondage of this world.  Would it not be wise for us to surrender our stubborn pride and will to the truth of His Word, and allow Him to take that place in our lives that He came here to fill?
