One would think that problems come before solutions; but, after a moment’s reflection, that may not be the case. When we think about life, from the very beginning we are sure to think about our problems. “Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7). Life in and of itself is never simple and easy; and, we as mortal beings do not make things any easier. Coming up with solutions to our problems, many times, only seems to leave us more perplexed and dumbfounded; we create more problems than we solve. The only solution that is always available and sure is GOD; He is the answer to every problem, the calm to every storm. When we go back to our premise, “the problem always comes before the solution”, we prove that it is not the case. In every instance, God always precedes the problem. Since He is our best solution, if not our only solution; then, in every instance, the solution must always precede the problem. So many of our difficulties and problems come because of our lack of faith and dependence upon Him; He is the One we must listen to and obey. He is the One who has our best interest at heart and has done everything that He can to provide us with a better way. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:29-31). What better solution is there for a weary world, or what deeper compassion is there for all those who wander away from His amazing mercy and grace?
