God has not promised that our lives will be effortless and without trouble, but He has promised to be with us no matter what we must endure. When you have a problem, take it to Him, He is waiting to hear your supplication and receive your request. You do not have to take a number and wait on God, but you do have to take the time to let your request be made known. Even though God knows our every thought, action and desire, He wants to have a close relationship with us that is giving as well as receiving. That is to say He wants a two-way relationship. He, being God, could see that everything is taken care of when it becomes necessary, but in doing so, what would happen in our hearts? I believe that in Heaven that is how it will be, but while we live on earth He has given us the right and obligation or responsibility of choice. If He did everything without our requesting it, would we continue to appreciate Him the way that we should or would we just expect everything to be the way that we wanted it to be? Somehow I feel that He would hear more complaining than thankfulness. Placing the fault or blame upon others is a human trait and while God is to be considered blameless, would we not hold Him responsible for everything we consider desirable and necessary? True joy in our lives is recognized when we are aware of His goodness and voice our thankfulness for it. Sad to say, thankfulness is not always given even when it is to be expected. GLH
