The Wages of Sin vs God’s Unconditional Love…

It amazes me how we as individuals are so willing to do those things that this world demands when it is not willing and cannot give to us anything that is lasting or is of true importance. Being obligated to this world holds no true merit, while the selling of your soul will bring God’s judgment. Sin has blinded our eyes to the things of God and has caused us to choose those things that are not profitable. When we consider what God wants to give us, we immediately dismiss it as being too intrusive and demanding. We refuse [Read More…]

The True Merit of Physical Pleasure…

Don’t we all want what is justifiable and good? Do the judgments we make not seek to place us in a condition that is more sustainable and rewarding? Why do we seek to find holiness or perfection in those things that are evil and defiant? An attempt to justify what is evil is the action of a fool. To refuse the pardon given us through God’s love can in no way be an example of wisdom. The gift of God produces the righteous fruits of blessed atonement. Salvation or escape from the evil one can be our only deliverance. Jesus [Read More…]

Common Sense…

Where in society do we gain by greed and selfish ambition? True profit excludes no one and is passionately defensive about the rights and feelings of others. Giving to meet the needs of the wounded and the poor can never impoverish the lives of those that share. True sacrifice is a way of gaining joy and inner peace; it will never leave its perpetrator feeling unfulfilled and cheated. Satan, the enemy of man, has caused us to doubt the honesty and sincerity of God. He has caused us to forget what is righteous and rewarding. People who willingly give up [Read More…]

Growing in the Grace of God…

As we physically develop in this life we must also strive to develop spiritually, mentally and intellectually. To allow ourselves to grow physically and to not gain mental or spiritual maturity or to become more intellectually mature is entirely destructive. To become totally satisfied with only those things that and evil perverse world can offer is nothing short of suicidal. We only end up in hopelessness and defeat. Every individual has not been given the same potential to excel, but everyone, no matter their potential, can advance or become better than the way they were before. Everyone has been given [Read More…]

NO MATTER, YOU MATTER…

Recently when thinking about God and how much He truly loves us, I considered how He has sacrificed to give us the many treasures of His magnificent Heaven.  When thinking about all that He has done and all that He has promised to do this verse came to mind. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). The concerns and cares of God are absolute and He will do whatever it takes to uphold them.  God loves all of His [Read More…]

The Only Direction that Brings Eternal Success…

We do not choose to be born, and as we live through the disappointments and difficulties of life, I am sure that many would say, as I have often heard, “I wish I’d never been born”! While making this statement, we are reminded of the fears or undesirability of death or dying and shortly come to grips with our disapproval of life. Life can become difficult but its alternative is more frightening and can cause us to revere even the most difficult of circumstances. Reality has a way of changing and motivating us, and as we seek the truth of [Read More…]

Serant or Slave…

In the past, life has been labeled a game, and being that, it is made up of both winners and losers.  Where do we find the true significance or reason for living?  If God has created us, and He has, then He must have had a reason for doing so. It seems foreign to me to think that God would create us and then turn us loose to struggle and contend for ourselves. Where do you find anything compelling in such a thought or how could this ever express a Creator that is all about love? Knowing the weakness and [Read More…]
