Growing in the Grace of God…

As we physically develop in this life we must also strive to develop spiritually, mentally and intellectually. To allow ourselves to grow physically and to not gain mental or spiritual maturity or to become more intellectually mature is entirely destructive. To become totally satisfied with only those things that and evil perverse world can offer is nothing short of suicidal. We only end up in hopelessness and defeat. Every individual has not been given the same potential to excel, but everyone, no matter their potential, can advance or become better than the way they were before. Everyone has been given the same promise or opportunity to obtain the spiritual reward of a heavenly palace. Their only limitation is their unwillingness to repent.  Our desire and our hunger to advance, our determination to become better and more productive individuals determine everything, anything that is presented us that takes away from our desire to become Christ centered and to become more beneficial is evil and should not be tolerated. God’s intent for our lives is not that we should become self-satisfied.  The idea or desire to eat, drink and be merry has no real purpose other than that of self-indulgence and it will prove to be a detriment and can only cause us harm. Thinking that life is all about our desires and ambitions can produce feelings of greed and apathy, it will lead us to do those things that are selfish and self-debilitating. The simple fact that Christ came to give and not to take away should show us the importance of sharing and sacrifice. In the life of a true Christian there are no shortages or unfulfilled promises or needs. God is an abundant God. The only shortage that He experiences is the love and gratitude of His creation, yes, and even of His children.   GLHbible
