The Excellence of God, the Arrogance of Man…

There are many things that we do not know simply because God has not revealed them to us. The significance or importance of knowing everything is minimized when we are made aware of the fact that God has everything under His control and He will see that everything is maintained the way He has intended. Knowing the holy character of God, we have been given insight as to how we are to act and live. Living a life of purity and innocence is made apparent as we study the examples given us from God. Even though many things are defined by there opposites, God has established the truth of everything that is in existence. There is nothing that has not experienced the hand of God and is incomplete compliance to His divine will. When we are talking about the excellence of God, the answer to the question, “How did this happen”, is GOD DID IT!  It doesn’t take a scientific scholar with thirty years of education to come up with that official conclusion. Even a child that has reached the point in their life when they can rationalize or know what 2 plus 2 is can easily make such a heart-felt deduction. Sad to say the brilliant scientific scholar with thirty years of comprehensive education and study will not find the truth as evident as when he was the child learning the sum of 2 plus 2.  Jesus has said,” Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me” (Matthew 18:3-5).  suffer children

Knowing that God requires the simplicity and honesty of a child to be the greatest in Heaven, that should tell us we must strive in our lives to be as honest and meek as a little child. God’s ways are simple and the difficult complex ways that we make them are not of Him. Somehow man has decided that to be meaningful or worthy things must also be difficult. Our pride has gotten in our way and to be meek and humble is not to be considered intellectual or valiant. God has done it all and it is not within man’s ability to take even the smallest amount of credit for it. When it comes to our salvation it is not about us, it is all about God. If this were not to be the case and it were to be about us than we would be able to save ourselves. Being saved is only part of the total picture. After we are saved then we must be kept and without the power that God has to keep us we would never get to enter Heaven. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one” (John 10:28-30).   GLH   My Own Melody, LLC  2006-2016
