There is no joy in pretending, I no longer seek to live for the moment. Life is not a series of excursions disconnected and unfulfilled. As we walk through the valley, we gain those things that cause us true joy and fulfillment when we reach the mountaintop. To know the true magnitude of explicit joy we must first experience the absolute misery of bitter pain. To understand and appreciate the significance of ponderous wealth we must first experience the horror and negativity of adverse poverty. We live by comparisons; good or evil, rich or poor, happy or sad, without them we would not know where we are or where we soon hope to be. Life in and of itself is extreme because the only true comparison or opposition to it is death. While you live you are given the opportunity and option of choice; when you die all choices and freedoms have been removed. The idea that death is an option is unsustainable for when you die it is not the end (Hebrews 9:27). Death is only the giving up of your right and freedom of choice. There is no longer an opportunity to change or refuse.
All the rules have been written; there is no reason or opportunity to change or alter any of them. Man did not have a part in writing them. He is only directed and encouraged to follow what has already been written. Whenever God’s Word is changed or altered, the truth of His Word is being compromised. God has warned or threatened anyone who meddles with His Holy Word. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the Holy City, and from things that are written in this book” (Revelation 22:18-19), The consequences are really severe; the warning is very plain, if you delete or alter what God has written, you will face His judgment. God is not to be trifled with; His Words are truth and His judgments are sure. God will in no way be a debtor nor can He be held accountable to any man. You can never do Him enough favors to gain His forgiveness or obligation, and you will never be mindful enough to surpass His unmatchable wisdom. God will not be fooled. He not only knows all; He is the giver of all wisdom and knowledge. “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89). When you are the creator, the one in absolute control, then everything else, everyone else must abide by your wishes. There is nothing in dispute; there is nothing that warrants changes. God is a God of love. He has given us a way into His Holy Kingdom; He has died so that all men could be forgiven and free. My Own Melody, LLC
