The Importance of True Salvation…

God has said that, if we diligently seek Him, we will find Him (Hebrews 11:6). Sincerity and the desire to know God will always bring about His truth and His comfort. God’s Word is His total revelation to man, and it is impossible to comprehend without the discernment of His Holy Spirit. Living a Christian life is only applicable for the Christian. How can you consider yourself a Christian and not be saved? Better still, when the Christian life is a life free of guilt and despair, why would you want to remain lost? Moral living is God’s command to His child but expecting the lost to live a life free from sin is foolish. God’s only Word to the lost is, “Come unto me believing and I will forgive you of your sins”. If we must change God’s Word so that more can understand it, what good is accomplished if more understand it but still refuse to do what it is telling them to do? There are no secret treasures to be gained by simply reading a bunch of words just to say that you have read them. Salvation is not gained by knowing how to gain it. Until you willingly take it into your heart, you are still lost, without a Savior. Knowing how to be saved is truly important but is only necessary when you choose to apply its directive. The true power of God’s Word is in its application. Saying you are saved has no true value or meaning when it is not felt in the soul and spirit and expressed from the heart. Our body language and our daily actions will tell the world what is felt within our souls. Pretending to be rich will not avail me of its many advantages or profit. Poverty may rob me of life’s treasures, but dependence upon God will assure me of His eternal benefits. If we are willing to trust in what God’s words are telling us to do and then apply them in our daily lives, their true intent can be realized. A guarantee is only as good as that one that is giving it. God’s Word, a promise from God, is as good as you can get. The only way to truly understand God’s Word is to ask for His guidance and live it daily. To have the power of the Word of God in your life you must be personally acquainted with the one that uttered it. The true power of God’s Word only comes from the one that spoke it, God. To gain that closer walk with Him, you must be continually in tune with Him through His Word and in constant prayer. The Spirit of God will give you the understanding and assurance required when you willingly rely upon Him (Romans 8:16).     My Own Melody, LLC   2006 – 2016    Vision Graphics, LLHredeemed
