As a child of God, God’s blessings are not just a small part of your existence, but should be considered as everything. You are alive and live because God permits it. That means that you are both living and thriving under His blessings, or because of them. As a child of this world, you are also accountable to God. Without God nothing can exist; and, whether you accept Him or not, your existence depends upon Him. God sacrificed His own life so that we could have a chance to gain eternal hope and peace in Him. The choice to accept His gift is ours, but, if He had not died, we would all remain dead in our trespasses and sins. As a pilgrim in this world, you have been given a chance to gain all that His death purchased for you when He died upon the cross. This in and of itself is the most significant blessing we as humans can receive. To this world, God is our breath of life; or, He is the One who keeps everything alive and breathing. God’s blessings are not happenstance or sporadic, they are the total sum of everything you are and do. He is the one that makes your living possible. He is the one that makes your living satisfying and enjoyable; wouldn’t you consider that as a blessing?
Whether we recognize it or choose to believe it or not, God is in control of everything; and, He will give to us what He thinks is warranted and needed. When we think of God and willingly give Him the total honor and credit that He deserves, it doesn’t take long for us to realize what an all-powerful, all-loving God he really is. As humans, our minds are simple and incapable of total comprehension and understanding. Comparing ourselves to God, we must consider ourselves totally ignorant and forever foolish. Without Him we could never make it and must depend upon those who are more powerful and deserving. The difficult part about life is that everyone we come in contact with is not concerned about us and our feelings or well-being. There are those who do not love and do not care about us or our right to exist. God, the magnificent Creator of this world, is in control of everything. He is the One who put everything in its place and He is the One who keeps it there. Everything is dependent upon Him, and if He would choose not to rule, total chaos would reign. We must be willing to understand and to acknowledge that everything stems from love. It is important that one thing must rely upon another for harmony to exist, but without God’s love that began it all, nothing would exist. The two most important essentials we must understand, are love and truth, they are both needed for a civil, purposeful world to function and to exist. In this universe, God is the only one that doesn’t need anything in order to exist. God allows me to live and to be a part of His magnificent plan all because of love. He has given me a particular job to do, and, since He is in charge of everything, I must willingly obey if I am to be an important part of His eternal plan. If I become rebellious and disobedient, He will remove me for the good of all. I am blessed when I am obedient and want to obey. Ambition is needed, not to put me where I do not belong, but to make me more productive and useful. Falling back is only admitting that I am weak and unable to compete. Comfort zones are nothing more than areas where little is being accomplished, they are permitted because they allow me to serve my ego and disconnect from a world that is too cold and demanding. God does not stop loving us when we are disoriented and weak but is always there as He promised He would be.
