NEVER DOUBT GOD’S GOODNESS…

I have learned never to doubt the goodness of God and to trust in His ability to provide for His children.  If God said He would do it, He will do it!  For me to doubt this fact would be sin and would hinder His ability to provide.  The one thing that causes the blessings of God to dwindle, if not to subside, is sin.  Sin builds a dam between a child and their God. It stops or hinders the free-flowing goodness of God from blessing those that are intended.  God’s love never stops giving; only disobedience stops His child from receiving.  God cannot reward disobedience, but, through His goodness and mercy, He is always ready and willing to forgive.  It has been suggested that God keeps His word because He has promised to do so, if He did not He would not be God.  I choose to believe that He does it because of His deep love.  As an earthly father receives joy from taking care of or sharing with his child, so does the heavenly Father want to give to His children.  Doing something simply out of duty only shows that you are trustworthy, that you can be trusted to do what is required of you, but doing it because of love adds the incentive of desire.  You are no longer doing it because you must but because you have a passion to do so.  Giving out of a loving heart suggest that much more will be given, as God gave His Son, not because He was required to do so, but because of His undying love.   It is a puzzle to me how a world that is loved so deeply can continue to reject that love, not only because of the goodness of that love but because of the penalty for not accepting it.  The Bible says that a fool has said in his heart there is no God, but to reject the goodness of God, as well as His existence, is also foolish.  To suggest that the blessings of God, such as food, lodging and raiment, simply exist because of the works of man is imprudent, but many choose to do so.  For many, giving thanks to God for His goodness is impractical, they have chosen, in their pride and arrogance, to scorn Him.   GLH    www.myownmelodyllc.com
