Christian Music With A Message...

THE IMPORTANCE OF LOVE…

God loves me so much that He only has my well being at heart; He wants to be the supreme leader of my life. That does not mean that I will not have difficult times in my life. It does mean that He will be with me through those times and that I will be granted insight into His eternal love and protection by having to go through those times. If we consider the things we are compelled to endure as difficult and painful, of what merit is it if God sees them as important and redeeming? When I see that He is there with me my faith is strengthened and I learn to love Him and depend upon Him more. That is to say my faith will be allowed to grow and I will learn not to doubt His promises. So many of the lessons that we learn in life are taught in difficult times and without adversity we will not grasp the importance of many of His commands. To so many of us, “Thou shall not” are only words that coax us into giving in to our fleshly side and we are not to be satisfied until we find out why we were not suppose to do it. If we would learn to, as the song says, trust and obey, our lives would be spared many of the hardships and problems that we bring upon ourselves. We are required to ask His forgiveness when we disobey, we must also endure His chastisement for our disobedience. The song says, trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. It tells us to be happy we must first learn to trust and obey. God will always protect His child no matter whether they are being obedient or not, but they will not be allowed to lead the abundant life unless they are doing those things that are pleasing unto Him. Fifty-percent obedience does not insure fifty-percent of God’s blessings, God expects and even demands one hundred percent. It is impossible to experience the true joy of God’s blessings when you know that in your heart you are not being totally committed to Him. If something is good, why should we want it only one half of the time? There is nothing in this life that is as good as, or is as rewarding as God’s love, so why do we not want to live in its love and perfection all of the time?   GLH    www.myownmelodyllc.com
