Something in Life I Know to Be True In a world that’s full of turbulence there are a few things that I have found to be rewarding and forever true. There are things that I have learned not to doubt or question but to depend upon as I go through the day. Some of them may sound unimportant at first, but when you stop and think about it, the world today has been commissioned or driven to produce people who do not ask or question but simply follow. You are not taught today to think for yourself but to just [Read More…]
Did I say that? How is it that we feel that we should be rewarded or given some type of trophy for doing the right thing or what we should have done? Does it take courage to be honest or to do what is expected? Have we drifted so far that we do not see what is important, what should be expected? Integrity, what is it? Is it something we can live without? I do not ask these questions from anyone without first asking them from myself. I know how difficult the pressures of life can be, how painful life [Read More…]
There is no accountability where the truth is not being taught. Truth is the framework that righteous living is built upon, it is what motivates and guides us. Nothing can survive without it; there is nothing that can replace what only the truth will give. Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life” (John 14:6) He is our only way unto the Father or the only way to Heaven. To accept anything but the truth will put your life into peril, there is only one way to Heaven and that is thru the cross. To preach anything [Read More…]
ANY WORTH OR RIGHT THAT I may HAVE comes from Almighty God; I have no right or authority of my own. That to me seemingly makes me worthless, makes me of little or no value, but when I read Gods Holy Word I am given pause to hope and to ponder, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life. Many have come and gone but everyone that has walked this earth were only here because of His magnificent love and grace. There [Read More…]
Christianity is not a religion of exclusion and deceit but a relationship with God that promotes acceptance and love. If you study the Holy Bible in an attempt of finding the truth and not in attempting to distort or denying its accuracy, you will find that God’s love has been given unto every one, there are no exceptions or exclusions. No matter how hard you try, you will never prove one word of God’s Word to be untrue or out of place. God is not here to condemn man but to liberate him and to set him free (John 3:17-18). The number one dream or endeavor of a truly wise man is to do all he must to obtain the many promises of a righteous and all-powerful God; to obtain God’s magnificent blessings, not only for himself but for the community and the world that he lives in. This is not something that we sit and ponder; it should actively consume our total being. Holy God is truly beyond limits, and as we realize His true magnificence and unlimited potential, we begin to accept and revere the total splendor of His absolute glory and might. How could such an awesome [Read More…]
At some point in my writing, I considered it would be good policy to construct an outline to express my intentions and to guide me in my writing. Being a rebel, I often take a road seldom traveled; but, by doing so, my intent is to view things from a different perspective, not to be considered defiant. I do not wish to discard the accepted rules or methods of writing, but most of what I have written is by inspiration. I am not an author, nor do I possess the skills or attitude of a writer. All I have written [Read More…]
You can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith through prayer. Prayer is an expression of faith. God is not so much concerned with the words as He is with the attitude of your heart. You can know real peace in your heart and a certainty of heaven when you die. The Bible says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20). Would you respond and pray this prayer? “Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need to [Read More…]
Recognize that God loves you and has a unique plan for your life. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world the he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Realize that because of our sins, we have been separated from God and come short. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Believe that Christ died in the cross to pay the price for our sins and to purchase a place in [Read More…]
